New mast cell disease treatment
Mast cell disease is one of the most common cancers in dogs. Mast cell tumors (MCT) may occur in or beneath the skin, or in organs such as the liver, intestines and spleen. The OVRS oncology staff is pleased to now offer Palladia (toceranib phosphate), the first FDA approved veterinary cancer drug for the treatment of mast cell tumors. Palladia has both antitumor and antiangiogenic (inhibits growth of blood vessels) activity, thereby arresting tumor growth. To learn more about this and other cancer treatment options, please call (248) 334.6877.
