They include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Skin irritation or redness<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strange odor coming from the skin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hot spots or bald spots<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ovrs.com\/blog\/hives-on-dogs\/\">Hives<\/a> (will sometimes seem crusty or scabby)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inflammation, waxy discharge, redness, or odor from the ears<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hair loss around the face<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Red, itchy eyes or runny nose<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Swollen or red feet that might have a distinctive odor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>If you notice any of these symptoms in your pet, it is time to call your veterinarian for an allergy check.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Causes of Fall Allergies in Dogs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While pets can have allergic reactions to a wide range of allergens, there are a few common ones that tend to affect a large number of them. These include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Plants like sagebrush, pigweed, goldenrod, and lamb\u2019s quarters<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pollen<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mold<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Flea bites<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ovrs.com\/blog\/dog-food-allergies\/\">Food<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Working with your veterinarian to find the source of the allergy will be the best way to find an effective treatment for your pet. If the allergen is in the food, for example, a dietary change can provide immediate relief for your furry friend. If the allergen is something you can\u2019t avoid (like pollen in the air), you will need to consider treatment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Treating Fall Allergies in Dogs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Depending on the severity of your pet\u2019s allergy symptoms, the vet might recommend a few different treatment options.
