A Rover.com survey<\/a> found that 25% of devoted dog people spend more money on things for their dog than for their significant other. 47% cuddle with their dog more often than their partner. That same number say they plan a Valentine’s Day celebration for their dog.<\/p>\n

  1. No talking \u2013<\/strong> Thanks to your pet\u2019s lack of verbal language skills, you never have to worry about awkward small talk, uncomfortable silences, arguments over politics or where to go for dinner.<\/li>\n
  2. Separate snacks \u2013<\/strong> Although your pet may eye your bowl of ice cream or bag of Cheetos with longing, you are under no obligation to share. Many types of people food<\/a> can be toxic to pets, so you\u2019re actually doing your pet a favor by keeping those snacks all to yourself.<\/li>\n
  3. Low (or no) expectations \u2013<\/strong> One of the best things about pets is that they don\u2019t care what we look like, where we live, how much money we make, or what type of car (or lack thereof) we drive.
